Top 10 Craziest RVs you Have to See

All of us in the RVing world know that campers are, well, a little… strange.

“Unique” might be a better word. Shall we call them unique?

It makes sense. Deciding to live in a tiny metal box on wheels probably requires being at least a little bit crazy, especially when the alternative is a nice, stable set of four walls complete with a real toilet (imagine!) and a fireplace.

But whether you’re a full timer yourself or just a casual renter in search of a quick chuckle, we gathered up this list of some of the most unique RVs we could find on the web. (And let me tell you: They’re pretty out there.)

Unique and Strange RVs

Let’s get one thing straight right up front: Weird isn’t always a bad thing!

After all, RVing is an alternative lifestyle that’s all about living on your own terms. That includes customizing your space… no matter how “weird” it might end up seeming to other people.

Unique RVs and trailers can express their owners’ personalities, and are also better equipped to handle your specific lifestyle. Nobody knows better than you what custom or DIY features would make your rig a better place for you to live… which is exactly what makes these custom vehicles one of a kind (and such great homes for their owners).

Here are some unusual RVs and motorhome we can’t get enough of.

1. The Little Engine that Could

I mean, have you ever seen anything like it? Those wheels almost look too tiny for this shiny metal box-like thing.

But as odd as it is, this little metalic powerhouse looks like it’s sturdy and ready to go.

2. The Sharkfin

OK, OK… we’re not totally sure this one actually exists. But if it doesn’t, we sure wish someone would make it.

But just look at it! So sleek! So futuristic!

So… downright… weird!

3. The Mobile… Church?

Unique RV Floor Plans

Whether it’s a company offering quirky campers for sale off the lot or a home built motorhome, some RVs have, shall we say, unique interiors. Here are a few of our favorites.

4. The Tank

All business on the outside, for sure… those tires are, in a word, intimidating!

But for such an industrial-looking vehicle, it’s surprisingly adorable on the inside! We especially love the orange upholstery and the lofted bed.

10. The Outdoorsman

The best part of camping is all about being outside, right?

This guy agrees. Check out those plastic lawn chairs and that umbrella! Of course, the rest of the “rig” could use a few more accessories… but I guess it’s all about prioritization!

Unique and strange RVs like these are a great way to brainstorm what you’d do if you had the opportunity to build or retrofit your own rig from scratch… not to mention just pass a few minutes and have a laugh! Which of these crazy strange RVs is your favorite, and why? What would you do if you could update and renovate your own RV with custom furniture, features, or a paint job?

We’d love for you to let us know. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be featured in our next post about unique trailers and motorhomes!
